Our Founder
A Marine Built This
John Humphrey is a Colorado native and a 20-year U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He served as a CH-53 helicopter engine mechanic, with three combat tours in Iraq, a WestPac deployment aboard the USS Tarawa and a tour in Okinawa. He brewed his first beer as a teenager and spent fifteen years homebrewing and distilling before Valor Peak. His vision is a distillery where every employee has a real stake in its success.

Every bottle starts as grain and ends in your glass, and every step in between happens in our Longmont distillery. Mash, ferment, distill, barrel, bottle. No shortcuts. That is the standard.
